Giclée fine art prints are created with archival pigment inks and high-quality fine art papers or canvases. To maintain their gallery quality and vibrancy, follow these best practices for handling, framing, and displaying your artwork.
Handling
Use cotton gloves or ensure your hands are freshly washed, completely dry, and oil-free before touching the print.
Hold only by the edges to avoid leaving fingerprints or oils on the delicate printed surface.
Keep it protected by leaving the artwork in its original acid-free tissue paper or archival sleeve until it is ready for professional framing.
Framing & Display
Use archival materials like acid-free matting and backing boards to prevent the paper from yellowing over time.
Filter UV rays by framing your print under museum-grade UV-filtering glass or acrylic to shield it from fading.
Avoid direct sunlight and display your print in a location shielded from harsh ultraviolet rays and prolonged exposure to direct light.
Environment & Cleaning
Control the climate by avoiding hanging prints in areas with high humidity or temperature fluctuations. Steamy spaces like bathrooms or damp kitchens can cause paper to warp or mold to form on canvases.
Dust gently using a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth or a dry microfiber cloth.
Never use liquids or household cleaning sprays, as moisture and solvents will permanently damage and dissolve the giclée inks.
Please contact me if there is a problem with your artwork upon receipt.
